The Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord has a large visitor car park directly opposite the main park entrance. The visitor car park has 1,500 spaces and parking is free.

By Public Transport

By Bus: busses 906 or 910 to the stop ‘Landschaftspark-Nord’, from there onto Emscherstrasse. The park is approx. 10 minutes on foot. Route descriptions to the park are at the bus stop. Take the NE3 night bus as far as the “Hüttenwerk” stop (approx. a 1 minute walk).

By Tram: From Duisburg Hbf (Main Railway Station) take the tram 903 direction Dinslaken to the stop ‘Landschaftspark-Nord’, from there onto Emscherstrasse. The park is approx. 10 minutes on foot. Route descriptions to the park are at the tram stop.

By Train: ICE, RE, RB S-Bahn

Environmental Zone: Since January 2012, the Ruhr Valley is an environmental zone. The Landscape Park is situated in the city of Duisburg’s environmental zone. Please remember when arriving by car to display the correct emission sticker (green) on your windscreen. The yellow or red sticker is no longer valid.

Weather and Clothing

Duisburg experiences a temperate oceanic climate with warm summers and mild winters. In July, temperatures typically range between 15°C (59°F) and 25°C (77°F), with occasional hotter days. Rain is possible throughout the month, so visitors are advised to carry a light rain jacket or umbrella. While summer days are pleasant, evenings can be cooler. A light sweater or jacket is recommended for outdoor activities.

Currency

The unit of currency in Germany is the Euro.

Electricity in Germany is supplied at 230V, 50Hz, and uses a two-pin Type F plug (Schuko). Travelers should check if they need a plug adapter or voltage converter for their devices.

Entry Visas

Germany is a member state of the European Union and a signatory of the Schengen Agreement.
