Yael Harman, has a PhD in Environmental policy, MBA and a master in ecology and microbiology. Yael is the Head of R&D at the Chief Scientist’s Office at the Israeli Ministry of Energy. Before working for the ministry she was one of the founders of BioPetroClean, Israeli start-up in the field of industrial waste water. Yael see herself as an entrepreneur in governmental work. As such she seeks out original ways to approach problems and opportunities, and have been fortunate to have been able to lead a number of projects that are making a difference to the Israeli energy market such as: AgriPV mega project, Waste to Energy (Hydrogen), DR program and more.
Since 2023 Yael has moved to Berlin, she is leading the German Israel partnership on Energy and Cyber security from the Israeli side
